| I've added a little tip about using the TProgressBar as a 'marquee'. Unfortunately, it can only be used with Windows XP. |

received my copy of BDS2006 |
| After
a
problem with a defective disc, after a month of negotiations with the
Borland Benelux office, I finally received a working copy of BDS2006
pro containing C++Builder, Delphi, Delphi for .NET and C#. My first
impression is that our patience was rewarded. |

que j'ai
dû renvoyer à Borland ce qui a pris
près d'un mois
en tractations diverses avec Borland benelux, j'ai reçu
enfin
une copie de BDS2006 qui fonctionne. Et à
première vue,
notre patience est récompensée. |

2006 is announced |
| Borland
announced today the release of the new C++Builder 2006 (codename
Dexter). Seing the datasheet, it seems promising. At the moment, you
just can pre-order it. C++Builder 2006 is a bundle containing beside
the C++ compiler, Delphi and C#. |

maintenant et épargner 15%. D'après le datasheet
du
produit, cette version semble prometteuse. Il s'agit d'un bundle

great BCB site disappeared

BCBDev,
one of the greatest sites about C++ Builder has disappeared. This site
was created by Harold Howe who is also a member of the Borland TeamB.
Bad news for the BCB community!
However, you can download from here
a zip file containing the
entire site.

Le
site web BCBDevn'est plus en ligne. Harold Howe, aussi membre du TeamB,
a décidé de le retirer. C'est une très
mauvaise
nouvelle pour la communauté. BCBDev était un des
meilleurs sites consacrés à C++ Builder.
Vous pouvez néanmoins télécharger ici un fichier zip
contenant
l'entièreté du site.

- The
open letter is finally there
|
Borland
has finally released the open letter . It says :"...we are pleased to
assure the community that Borland will continue to develop VCL-based
C++. The next version of C++Builder will be part of the Delphi IDE
family...". It's a good news for the C++ community but don't expect to
be more informed. No release date, nothing about .NET,
nothing
about a new compiler... We just have to wait...again.

La lettre ouverte promise par
Borland
est enfin là. Elle dit en substance que la ligne C++/VCL
continuera à être développée
et fera partie
de la famille Delphi. Rien de plus. Pas de date, rien sur .NET, rien
sur le compilateur. Je crains que nous devrons à nouveau
attendre la sortie de Delphi incluant C++ pour être
fixés.

a preview version of his new cross-platform compiler. I have put a link
in the menu but as I have not received it yet, the link
doesn't
point to anything. |

compilateur multi-plateformes. J'ai déjà

lien dans le menu ci-contre mais il n'est pas encore actif n'ayant pas
encore reçu mon exemplaire. |
